In order to ensure that the abrasive belt polishing machine is always in normal working condition, after two weeks of continuous work or when it is not used for a period of time, the components in the optical path such as YAG rods, dielectric films and lenses should be checked before the start of the protective glass to make sure that each optical element has No abnormal phenomena such as dust pollution and mildew. If the above phenomenon occurs, it should be dealt with in time to ensure that the optical components will not be damaged under strong laser irradiation. During use, check the conductivity of the internal circulating water once a week to ensure that the conductivity is 30.5MW·cm. The internal circulating deionized water must be replaced once a month, and the conductivity of the newly injected pure water must be 32MW·cm. Observe the color change of the ion exchange column in the cooling system at any time. Once the color of the resin in the exchange column changes to dark brown or even black, the resin should be replaced immediately.

In the grinding process, although all the abrasive grains still exist, the sharpness is already very poor. This is because the abrasive cutting edge becomes dull due to wear. This phenomenon is called passivation. The normal darkness is the end of the belt life. Obviously, the "blunt" we are talking about here is mainly caused by improper selection or use of abrasive belts when the abrasive grains are not consumed.
